It’s the first week of classes and we at RED Academy Vancouver have a brand new group of full-time students, eager and ready to go!

Among this new crop is Amelia Garvin, a Web Development student. She is the winner of and recipient of RED Academy’s ‘Impact’ Scholarship.

Meet Amelia

Amelia Garvin is a Vancouver based multi-disciplinary artist working in writing, visual and sculptural mediums. Her work has been exhibited in various group shows in Vancouver and online. Her work capture her ideas of youth, the body and nostalgia. Garvin holds a BFA from Emily Carr University currently working as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer.

Starting off the new cohort as a student in the Web Development Program, Amelia hopes to learn to adapt her creative side as a Web Developer and launch her career a junior web developer at an agency. Congratulations Amelia from everyone at RED Academy! We are so excited to award this scholarship to Amelia, and know that she will continue to do brilliant things in her future endeavours.
