Learn the essential skills of search engine optimization and content marketing in 5 weeks.

Our SEO & Content Marketing Essentials Certificate offers the perfect introduction to the basics of search engine optimization and content marketing strategy. The course is designed for students who want to gain the practical skills needed to develop a comprehensive content marketing strategy in a professional setting, leveraging the software, tools, tactics, and techniques used in today’s industry.

Upon successful completion, students will be able to create, manage and measure digital content marketing strategy for a brand, including; blog writing, copywriting, e-mail marketing campaigns, social media management, and SEO.

We highly recommend taking this course as well as the Paid Advertising Essentials course for a solid foundational skill-set in digital marketing.

Learn to develop, curate, promote and optimize engaging high quality blog content.

Social Media & Community Management

Understand a business’ social media goals, audit channels and create a content strategy across multiple social media channels.

Email Marketing

Build an email marketing strategy and learn how to increase open rates and engagement to run effective email marketing campaigns for clients.

When we finished in December, I continued to keep learning on my own and in turn work eventually gave me the keys to car so to speak. Since then, I have been diving head first into all of our back end digital and have a good month of on the job with Adwords, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, SEO, social media and the company has seen the skills I have gained. Everything I am grasping here in the real world is because of the instructors and RED.

From the creative, analytics, and technology aspects of marketing, Richard has a diverse experience from the big brands of Procter & Gamble (P&G) and Johnson & Johnson (J&J), to leading technology companies (Google, 500px). Upon graduating from Ivey, he led recruiting efforts for the undergraduate program and launched a new specialized masters program, the Ivey MSc. Some of his past roles include Band-Aid Brand, Visine, J&J First Aid, Covergirl, as well as launching Think With Google (publishing the latest marketing research and digital trends with data reports and articles from Google).
